Philanthropic singer Angella Katatumba has done it yet again. Yesterday she handed 15 special single Crank Epoxy Head beds to Mulago Hospital in the intensive care unit.
The donation worth 15Million, was given by her Angella Katatumba Development Foundation (AKDF) under the ‘Mulago Yaffe Campaign’. The campaign which has so far seen the kind-hearted singer donate millions of shillings in cash and material donation, is also supported by her father Bonnie Katatumba and the Bikers Association of Uganda.
The modern single Crank Epoxy Head beds came in packages of 7 boxes with 2 beds in each of the beds that will go way ahead in helping desperate patients who have sometimes suffered because of inadequacy and overcrowding. They were received by the hospital’s Executive Director Dr. Byrugaba and the hopitals’ PRO Enock Kusasira.\
“We are grateful to the Angella Katatumba Foundation for this positive gesture and argue other Ugandans to come to our aid in joining this campaign. These beds are very important and help in reducing the congestion in the hospital.” Byarugaba said.
While handing over the donations Angella Katatumba said she will continue elping the hospital and Ugandans at large as long as she can. She also called upon other celebrities and the general public to join in the campaign.
Her father H.E Dr. Boney Katatumba the consul to Pakistan who also doubles as the Chairman of AKADF was in attendance alongside representatives from AKDF, Uganda Bikers Association, Senior Doctors, medical specialists and nurses.
