Anne Kansiime has yet again been nominated for a BEFFTA award for the best female comedian. The rather excited comedienne who won the award in 2013 shared the news with her fans,
Wululululululul wululululluer wulululululuest
I have been nominated BEFFTA 2016 Best Female Comedian, she said before going on to add, ‘This is my 3rd nomination in the same category in a row.
We scooped the award on our first nomination in 2013.’
BEFFTA is Europe’s biggest award ceremony celebrating black and ethnic personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts.
The awards that were started by philanthropist Pauline Long in 2009 are always expected to be celebrated in a very grand style, bringing together several international and UK stars under one roof with a common goal to celebrate and honour both unknown and known hard working and extremely talented personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts.
The voting will officially begin on Monday 12 September. Others Ugandans nominated are Eddy Kenzo and Grajoh Entertainment for best international male African act and best events promoter respectively.
Anne Kansiime has proved to be the country’s darling and only won over more fans when she started her Kansiime foundation a few months ago. She started it because she wanted to help the needy, something that she desired to do for long. And now with her increased celebrity status and ever growing career, she can be able to make a difference in several children’s lives.
