Fashion enthusiasts were on Saturday tipped on building successful fashion businesses as the Abryanz Fashion Awards (ASFAs) franchise held a first-of-its-kind fashionpreneur summit at Skyz Hotel, Naguru.
The summit whose main focus was the role of fashion and the creative industry in shaping the future of the country’s economy gave guests an insight in to the immense opportunities that the fashion industry has to offer and how the youth can make use of such opportunities to create a livelihood for themselves.
“Our main aim here was to show the youth that fashion can be more than just a hobby or a lifestyle. It can be something that they can earn from by creating business from just the small projects that they can manage to start up and later develop them into big brands,” said Brian Ahumuza, proprietor of the Abryanz fashion franchise and founder of the ASFAs.

Also among the summit speakers was celebrated radio presenter and news anchor Flavia Tumusiime, fashion designer Santa Anzo, make-up guru Mona Umutoni as well as commercial law expert Bernard Mukasa who participants tips on the legal processes involved in registering, growing and protecting a business/brand.
