Balaam Distances Himself From Lousy Chairs For Guests At Swearing-In Ceremony

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was sworn for the 6th term in office on Wednesday the 12th of May 2021 at a ceremony that took place at Kololo Airstrip in Kampala.

More than 4,000 people, inclusive of invited guests and other African Heads of States guests were in attendance to witness this event although there is something that happened that didn’t go down well for a section of people, mostly those who use social media.

According to them, the United States Of America Ambassador in Uganda Madam Natalie E. Brown who was among the invited very important people (VIPs) was not given a treat that a person of her capacity deserved.

A photo of Natalie at the event making rounds on social Media shows her seated on a white plastic chair while hanging her handbag on her left knee. All the blame was then directed to NRM’s Balaam Barugahara, a city events organiser and promoter. Why?

Basing on the fact that he is the one who always plans and organises presidential events, concerned people took to social media to express their dissatisfaction over the way the Ambassador was treated but little did they know that this time round Balaam didn’t plan nor organise this ceremony.

A while ago, Balaam through his official Facebook account, he cleared his name by distancing himself from this event

“I want to make it clear I was not involved in Kololo Event planning or sound provision .  Whatever happened I have nothing to do with it.  The event was managed by Digida Events.” Read Balaam’s statement in part.

Balaam also took it upon himself to apologise to all the guests  who in a way or the other were humiliated at the event on behalf of all Ugandans

However this should be a key learning experience we should plan well next time this humiliation to our Great important  invited Guests shouldn’t happen again.  A nice vip  chair hire cost 3000shs from Fotegenix, A sit cover hire cost is 350shs  Apologies to all the humiliated Guests on behalf of all  Ugandans.”
