It seems city socialite Bad Black is already winning the war for money she waged against government after accusing Ministry of Health for failing to pay her when she featured in a coronavirus sensitization advert.
Bad Black whose real name is Shanitah Namuyimbwa, through lawyers Musangala advocates and Solicitors, had given government 14 days to pay her UGX. 500million for the work and an additional UGX.50million as damages for pain caused to her and legal costs or else they face-off in court.
As if the notice of intention to sue was not enough, she went on social media all guns blazing threatening who ever she feels is involved or concerned to either pay up or face drastic action.
She took it to another level when she organized a press conference earlier in the week to highlight some of the steps she will be taking should she not be paid before the 14 days elapse including naming and shaming all the senior government officials who have been her clients.
This was after government responded by telling her they owe her nothing and that the advert was a ‘donation’ because they didn’t sign any agreement to that effect. This angered the motor-mouthed socialite who is also a single mother of four.
She also threatened to expose everything about them including details of their bedroom adventures and misdemeanors. Already two names – that of Prof Gilbert Bugenya the former Vice President and Captain Mike Mukula the former Soroti Municipality MP, have popped up. She promise dot release more soon with all the other nitty-gritty.
Fr. Simon Lokodo the State Minister for Ethics and Integrity also warned that Bad Black will be arrested over threatening to sue the government in the COVID-19 advert fallout “if she continues with her blackmailing”’.
But events manager and NRM mobilize Balaam Barugahara has now intervened to try and cool down the situation after promising to organize a meeting between Bad Black and President H.E Yoweri Kaguta Musveni in which her grievances are expected to be sorted out.
Balaam together with new presidential advisor Jennifer Full Fugure and others met her with her lawyers to smoothen things up before meeting the big man
It should be remembered that, Balaam has been the main man behind entertainers and socialites especially from opposition meeting the president after crossing to NRM with high expectations of brown envelopes with the most recent being Facebook bloggers Katto Ashburg and Ray Superster.
