Bayimba Festival Marks 10th Anniversary In Style

For those who might not know, organising an event is something more than just we see or imagine and for organisers who have organise events for a decade and plus, they really deserve a round of applause because it not a bed of roses and on the same note, we have to say big congratulations for Bayimba Festival of The Arts commonly known as just Bayimba Festival for successfully completing the 2017’s edition which commemorated 10 years of its existence

Starting off on Friday the 22nd of September at the Uganda National Theatre, this three day fest that was concluded on Sunday the 24th is one that brings together music, dance, drama, visual arts, fashion and exhibition all in one location for the attendees to appreciate in these three days.

Being an edition of celebrating 10 years, the selection of local headlining performers also matched with the years they had spent in the industry as we saw veteran entertainers like Maddox Ssematimba, Jose Chameleone, Lord Fred Ssebata, Maurice Kirya, Bobi Wine, Mariam Ndagire, Cindy, Percussion Discussion, Limit X, Abdul Mulaasi, Sylvester and Abramz among many others perform for their fans whom have also through the many years supported them.

There were brand new things introduced this time round for example the mobile beach set up by Uganda Waragi where they served their different drinks and also a fashion run way where models showcased their outfits

Apart from the Ugandan artistes, there were other African countries and those from the Diaspora like from Africa and abroad who showcased and the performances were on two stages and the theatre’s auditorium. Amongst the non national performers included Berita (South Africa), Betty G (Ethiopia), Makadem (Kenya), Dr Bone (South Africa), Jagwa Music (Tanzania), Mwanase Ahmed (Kenya) among many others

Here is a compilation of photos Chano8 got for you from day to day three.
