Forget the stories of veteran singer Bebe Cool being booed off stage while he was performing at the recent Swangz All Star concert by angry People Power fans. As we talk now, the self proclaimed music Big Size is in things after being appointed as the Tuberculosis ambassador for Uganda
The Uganda Stop TB Partnership (USTP) in collaboration with their Geneva Partners United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) have nominated Ugandan and African award winning artiste Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool as a Tuberculosis Ambassador for the pearl of Africa.
Bebe will be tasked with raising awareness about Tuberculosis and drawing the public attention towards its plight in Uganda. He will be attending the ongoing United Nations High Level Meeting on Tuberculosis (UNHLM) held at United Nations Headquarters in New York on from Sunday the 23rd to Thursday the 27th of September 2018.
In this meeting Bebe Cool will be interfacing with international high level health funders from across the globe in a bid to lobby for funds to chase this killer disease from Uganda and as we talk now, Bebe has already left Uganda to the US to officially kick off his ambassadorial roles
Upon being receiving the good news that he was nominated as TB Ambassador for Uganda, Bebe Cool had this to say
“To support the Uganda Stop TB Partnership, Ministry of Health and UNOPS in the campaign to end Tuberculosis in Uganda is a big responsibility that me and many Ugandans should embark on to save lives that are lost each passing day because of this killer disease. I am proud to take on this responsibility for my motherland Uganda”
