Singer Bebe Cool has today through his Amber Heart Charity Organisation donated 500 bags of food (Posho and beans) to TB patients, and another 400 bags to DJs Journalists.
The items are as his contribution to the Coronavirus National relief task force to vulnerable people affected by the lockdown that was been enforced by government to curb the spread of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
Although it is not yet clear why he chose and put DJs and Journalists in this ‘vulnerable group’, he has how ever been working with and helping TB patients in getting treatment and other forms of help.
Bebe Cool is a TB Ambassador in Uganda and may be added DJs and Journalists because of the relationship he has built with them in the course of his work as a musician.
Here is what he had to say;
”On behalf of Amber heart foundation,as the tuberculosis ambassador,today i have handed over 500 bags of food relief to the minister of health Hon Jane Ruth Aceng specifically for vulnerable TUBERCULOSIS patients on medication within Kampala, 200 bags to the Uganda Journalists Association UJA and 200 bags to the Djs fraternity of Uganda,a total of 900 bags.
As the fight still continues,i want to thank all those who have donated and call upon all fellow Ugandans with financial capability to support/donate to our brothers and sisters in need of food at this moment of covid-19.
For God and my country.”
The Chairman of Uganda Journalist’s Association Mr Bashir Kazibwe and represented his colleagues while DJ Nimrod represented the Turn table wizards at the function.
