The quarterly Blankets and Wine picnic returns for 14th edition with several changes as venue shifts to Lugogo Cricket Oval from their traditional Uganda Musuem home which hosted the event for many years in an exciting outdoor picnic setting with entertainment and urban expression.

House of DJs the organisers of the event made the announcement yesterday at a press briefing organised at the new venue. The 14th edition takes place on 25th September with South African singing duo Mafikizolo headlining alongside Qwela band, Multi instrumentalist Giovanni Kingi, Energetic gospel singer Levixone Lala and St. Evo ‘The Myth’ from Kenya as well as a continental DJ who will fly all the way from Kenya.

House of DJ’s have moved the venue to a bigger space primarily for convenience purposes and to accommodate the ever growing fan base that attends the event in a ‘more relaxed and spacious picnic style experience for individuals, families and corporates.

“Our new venue will be the Lugogo cricket oval grounds. The grounds will allow friends and family to enjoy much more space, more convenient and secure facilities, which is critical since Blankets and Wine crowd has been steadily increasing. The grounds will solve the parking issues that the House of Djs team believe are important.” Explained Flower Kenyangi PR from House of DJs.

The Disney section will have fun activities where Disney Characters will come to life and a special pack for the kids. There will also be an Undone Art hive/Gallery.

Tusker Malt Lager has committed their support by renewing their sponsorship which extends to two more years with revellers expected to enjoy lots of free beers. Other sponsors include Media World, Roke Telkom, NTV, Stanbic Bank and Silk Events.
