Bobi Wine is one singer who has won over a lot of fans ever since the election period. Today being a throwback Thursday we take a look at ‘Sema’ the new song he featured on.
Last week on the day President Museveni was sworn in for another term, Bobi Wine witnessed as his fellow firebase colleagues were roughed up by police and army while he was having an interview with the New York Times.
‘our rehearsal studio in Kamwokya was invaded by armed soldiers and police as young Firebase artists were rehearsing, and others were watching the swearing in on T.V. They were beaten and arrested,’ he said before going on to add that, ‘Even when I tried to explain that these youth were no harm to society and actually productive members of our community, nobody listened. They were bundled up to into a car and humiliated,’ he said.
A day after Bobi Wine released the Sema song which calls on people to speak up because they don’t no one will hear them. ‘This song is advocating for all of us to speak out when things are wrong and do our part to make it right,’ the ghetto president said.
