Long-awaited Nigerian Afro-fusion singer Burna Boy Concert gave Kampala party lovers a night to remember last Friday the 22nd of March at Sheraton Hotel gardens.
The singer who arrived in the country a day before first held a meet and greet party at Guvnor which was flocked by the A class party animals of Kampala led by tycoon Mbiire’s daughter Nadia Mbiire.
At exactly 3 PM, the gates were open although it was reported that VIP tickets were sold out leaving revelers stranded at the gate which resulted into a little bit of exchange of words between fans and organizers over the lack of tickets. This prompted the organizers to mix VIP fans with the ordinary.
However, the show was mostly attended by university students. As the night transcended, fans were served to a buffet of the best performances from Ugandan artistes. Sheebah Karungi who took her fans through a thrilling moment of an energetic showcase.
Fik Fameica and John Blaq followed before Cindy Sanyu, Irene Ntale also took to stage and later the best Djs in town like Roja, Slick Stuart, Ssese and Alza
The man of the night Burna Boy graced the stage at exactly 11:45 pm with high energy that he maintained throughout his performance. He sangs songs like ‘Angelina’, ‘Gbedu’, ‘All Eyes On Me’, ‘Sekkle Down’, ‘Giddem’, ‘Rock Your Body’, ‘Don Gordon’, ‘Yawadey’, ‘Soke’, ‘Dangote’, ‘On The Low’ among others,
Kasana Events handled the concert despite criticism from fans who believed that the concert deserved a much bigger venue than Sheraton Hotel gardens.
