American rapper Cardi B must still be cursing after security guards stopped her in an attempt to beat up her nemesis rapper Nicki Minaj whom she accuses of tarnishing her music career and talking a lot about her
This trending incident that left Cardi bruised with a bump on her forehead happened on Friday night the 7th of September at the red carpet area while the female rappers, smart as they were made their way in the venue where high-profile Harper’s Bazaar ICONS Fashion Week event took place in New York
According to online reports, sources from the event say that Nicki was taking a photo with Kelly Rowland and La La Anthony when Cardi walked past. Reportedly, Nicki deliberately stepped on and tore Cardi’s long dress and in reaction, Cardi threw her shoe at Nicki as she approached to pick a serious woman to woman fight.
Unruly Cardi sustained a bump on her fore head from this fight that was stopped by security guards from both sides. It is still unclear whether it was Nicki Minaj who hit Cardi or her security guards. Cardi was later escorted outside the building and left without attending the event
The New York Police Department Public Information Officer confirmed to the media that there have been no arrests but the investigations are still ongoing
A few hours after the drama went down, Cardi took to social media to slam Nicki in a lengthy verbal attack saying
“I’ve let a lot of s**t slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f**k up the way I eat, “You’ve threatened other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you’ll stop f**kin with them!! I let you talk big s**t about me!!!
Cardi continued and said “I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea! But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f**kin off!”
She added: “I’ve worked too hard and come too far to let anybody f**k me with my success!!! B**tches talk all that s**t in they raps but in real like they p***y! This s**t really is for entertainment!”
