Chameleone Is Rebranding Says New Manager

Mutima appointed

Jose Chameleone’s new manager Robert Jackson Nkuke aka Mutima says the team is rebranding after many Leone Island crew members quite the music and record label. Mutima who is a music promoter, replaced Sam Mukasa and has started work in earnest. Visiting media houses and clearing the air about the split in Leone Island. Last Friday he appeared on NTV Koona programme with Miles Rwamiti and confirmed that most of the crew members, backup singers and upcoming artists had quit the group. He says his task now is to embark on a massive rebranding program and clean the image of Leone Island

­Media reports had earlier indicated that the music doctor fell out with most of his crew members and they walked out on him mostly to join Goodlyfe crew which is also recruiting new members after Radio and Weasel fell out with manager Jeff Kiwanuka over cash and contract disputes and left to start their own group. Goodlyfe now has American based Ugandan artist Pallaso also a younger brother of Chameleone, Sheeba Karungi of the Ice cream fame, AK 47, King Saha, and Bakri

The Artists who left Leone Island among others include Chameleone’s youger brother AK47, King Saha and manager Sam Mukasa together with Designer Kim Swagga. Mutima claims the artists have now grown and are free to move on. He also wished them the best in their careers as they embark on rebuilding the music empire with Chameleone and Papa City the main artists remaining on board

Chameleone who is in Europe for a music tour performed in Oslo Norway over the weekend and was joined in the tour by Papa City. He had just confirmed the appointment of Mutima before boarding a plane to Europe where he will also perform in other Scandinavian countries

“Officially, I introduce to my Fans, Friends, Well wishers and business partners my new Manager: Mr. Robert Jackson Nkuke famously known as Mutima,” he posted on Facebook.

Chameleone also thanked Sam Mukasa who was his manager for eight years before he fired him apparently due to a misunderstanding and left kind words for him praising him on social media for his endurance and hard work.

“I would like to thank my entire team and in a special way Sam Mukasa for his Endurance, Competence, Hard work, Guidance and Time as he served as my Manager and the Leone Island Music Empire. Thank you, thank you, and thank you. No words can express my gratitude.”
