It’s truly a great milestone that Ugandan music and musicians are being recognised at international awards and the upcoming All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) have Dancehall artistes Cindy Sanyu and Ziza Bafana nominated in the same category.
The two both being Dance-hall artistes, will tussle it out for one award in the category of ‘Best African Reggae, Ragga and Dance-hall’ that has other nominees like Anteneh Minalu (Ethiopia), Dufla Diligon (Kenya), Montess (Cameroon), Patoranking (Nigeria), Stonebwoy (Ghana) and T Smallz (Gambia).

Dance-hall artiste Cindy to tussle it out at the upcoming AFRIMA
It’s not an easy category especially basing on the fact that, all other nominees are big names as well and all we wish them is the best. The All Africa Music Awards are slated to take place in Lagos Nigeria from Friday the 4th to Sunday the 6th of November 2016 and apparently the voting is on as we wait for the awarding ceremony. One can visit this link http://afrima.org/index.php/voting/continental-categories-2016/continental-categories/best-african-reggae-ragga to vote for our very own artistes Cindy and Ziza Bafana and we wish them all the best.
