Cool And The Gang Confirmed For Massive Gig In Kampala

If you are born in the 60s, 70s and 80s, then you must be knowing Kool & the Gang, a legendary jazz group behind tracks like ‘Celebration’, Cherish, Fresh, Joanna, Too Hot, Lets Go Dancing, Summer Madness, Get Down On It and Ladies Night among others.

The award winning group have sold over 70million copies worldwide and will be performing in Uganda on the November 12th at Kololo Ceremonial grounds for a fee of shs150,00 bronze ticket, shs250,000 silver and shs5million VIP tables courtesy of Talent Africa, Silk events and Tusker.

However, there will be early bird special offers for those who buy tickets before October 24th where Bronze tickets will be 120k, Silver tickets 200k and Gold VVIP tables at 4 million shillings and tickets will go on sale from September 24th at different outlets.

According to Aly Alibhai, one of the organizers of the show, Uganda will be celebrating and watching one of the best bands in the world. “Uganda get ready for one of the biggest concerts of all time. The Gang is coming with their full band and their stage performance is out of this world. People should get ready to Celebrate!” He said

The concert dubbed ‘a trip down memory lane’ will also be a celebration of nearly 50 years in the music industry for the group.

The announcement was made on Wednesday in a press briefing that happened at liquid silk where journalists and sponsors attended.
