In Uganda, few employers can afford to award their longest serving employees. The most they can afford to do is just throw a farewell party for him or her and that’s it.
But Capital FM showed people how it’s done by not only throwing a farewell party but also buy Alex Ndawula a luxurious new ride as well as giving him a cash price.
Alex Ndawula who has been at the helm of Capital FM for over 20 years was yesterday evening thrown a farewell party at the stations gardens and given a Toyota Prado and a cash price of 30million as gratitude for the years he has been at the station.
The event was attended by musicians, presenters from different radio stations and his fellow workers.
Besides the car and cash price, Ndawula was also given an art painting with over 10 signatures of people he has worked with or helped during his tenure.
Alex Ndawula stopped working three weeks back and his programmes ‘Dance Force’ and ‘Sundowner’ have just been playing music.
