Ugandan Afrobeat artiste Eddy Kenzo is the ‘Best Afrobeats Act’ according to the 2021 Caribbean Afro Music Awards (CAMAs) that were held on Saturday the 4th of September in London.
The awards aee designed to acknowledge and reward British and international talents from the musical genres of Afrobeats, Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Reggaetón, UK Afro-Swing as well as Gospel
The other singers Kenzo was nominated with in this category (Best Afrobeats Act) are Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene, Congolese singer and songwriter BM and Nigerian-American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer Jidenna
Elated Kenzo took to his official Facebook page to share the news with his fans
“A special thank you to Caribbean Afro Music Awards for making an effort to connect African music and the Caribbean music. It is so special to know how connected African and the Caribbean are. I am blessed to be recognized as the best Afrobeats Act” Read his post
In his welcome speech that was aired virtually during the awarding ceremony, Eddy thanked all the fans for voting him and also the awards’ organisers for their efforts to lift African music internationally

Last month, he received the Best Male International Act (Africa) award which he won last year in the Hollywood and African Prestigious awards organized in California, USA.
