Every artiste used the opportunity to steal a moment of fame during Bobi Wine’s Kyarenga concert last Saturday. Rachael Namiiro’s dress malfunction might have stolen the show but Eddy Kenzo’s words moved the crowd
The BET award winner during his performance at the sold out concert turned into Bobi Wine’s public relations officer when he advised the fans to remain calm and composed as that is what People Power is all about.
“We are here to demonstrate togetherness, discipline of the common man and to show that we aren’t violent. People Power means oneness and today, no pick pocketing and no stealing people’s phones.” Kenzo said.
Kenzo was one of the artistes besides Bobi Wine who performed for over 30 minutes. Amongst Some songs he sung included ‘Sitya Loss’, ‘Zigido’, ‘Jubilation’, ‘Mbakoye’, ‘Daggala’, ‘Mbilo Mbilo’ and ‘Mbakooye’ which is inspired by Bobi Wine’s illegal detention a few months ago.
Kenzo also told people to express themselves with the ‘People Power’ slogan as no one can arrest them. “Keep shouting people power because the phrase simply means brotherhood.” He said.
