Eddy Kenzo Hands Over His International Awards To Uganda Museum For Tourism

Uganda’s current trending star, Edrisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo has this Thursday, 5th April handed his top three international and other major music accolades to Uganda National Museum in Kitante.

Arriving back to Uganda late yesterday after missing his connecting flight from Dubai, the singer intends to certify public access of his tributes besides motivating youths to work hard for successful future lives while helping to boost tourism at the same time.

“This will be a motivation for many and I am glad I have done it,” Kenzo said while handing over the gongs.

Some of his international awards he has won include the BET Award, YouTube Award, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award, AFRIMA Award 2016, 10th Annual Nigeria Entertainment Awards and the KUNDE BF.

“I have decided to put my BET AWARD Afrima best male 2017 and KUNDE BF 2015 awards in the museum and the Moment Nickelodeon get in the country I will bring it. such that young people having a dream to become great musicians can look at them and be motivated to work harder and win even bigger ones, parents should bring their children and let them see these great honors for our country. I acknowledge the acceptance by Uganda Museum to receive and keep these awards and I believe they are in safe hands of Government and they belong to the people of Uganda”. Kenzo later posted

Some of the international awards Kenzo won now on display at the Uganda Museum. He has dedicated three of the biggest awards to Ugandans and future generation.

The tributes were received by Stephen Asiimwe, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB)-Chief Executive Officer who gratified the opportunity to boost the country’s tourism sector by showing visitors more about Uganda’s music industry.

“This is a wonderful initiative form such patriotic citizens to support tourism sector because this has added another step today as far developing and boosting this industry is concerned,”  Stephen Asiimwe said.

Airtel who were the organisers of the ceremony also appreciated the song star, “Our ambassador Eddy Kenzo with the Uganda Museum and Uganda Tourism Board team as he hands over the awards to inspire more Ugandans to emulate him and prosper,” noted on its social platforms.
