Eddy Kenzo Signs Yet Another Singer To His Label. But Is There Progress?

Artistes Nu York and Pia Pounds signed to Eddy Kenzo’s Big Talent Crew some months ago but ever since they finished the paper work,  with big expectations that they would do hit songs, they are still on the same level as they signed but Kenzo signed added another artiste to his camp.

On Friday the 14th of September, Eddy Kenzo signed a 26 year-old Elysha Mutebi aka Ely Dre to his Salaama road based record label. Ely is a singer, songwriter, pianist and established live performer.

“Elysha is a good artiste and as Big Talent, we feel we are in position to help him change his story.” stated Eddy Kenzo.

On the other hand, Elysha Mutebi expressed his excitement about the new deal, “This is one of the happiest moments in my life ever. This is the beginning of a new era. I can’t wait to give to the world what I have in store for all of you.”

To prove their seriousness, Big Talent soon after signing him released his first single ‘Amio’, a fusion of RnB, Afro-beats and Jazz produced by Banq Records’ resident producer Kuseim Knots.

Elysha began singing at the age of 10 in church without any direction. At the age of 14, he learnt how to play the piano from which he started playing at his church in Buziga. In 2012, he decided to fully pursue his music career by venturing into commercial music. He has performed and still performs with the finest bands in Uganda like S&S Band and Band Cindy

Elysha’s inspiration stems from everyday life experiences and to a small extent, his own imagination.
