Eddy Kenzo who recently made history as the first ever East African to win the BET award, yesterday talked about his BET experience.
The star who was being hosted on NTV the Beat, told the host Douglas Lwanga that his experience was a great one, he wasn’t treated badly as the Nigerians claim, BET gave him a nice hotel, he sat on the 3rd row after Rihanna and he slept in the same hotel with Tyga and other International Artists.
He further talked about receiving the award backstage saying that Nigerians have been receiving the same award backstage, why are they complaining now? Is it because a Ugandan and Ghananian took the BET awards.
Kenzo also said that he asked the BET organizers why he got the award on the red carpet and they said that the category was sponsored and the mileage offered was to only cover the red carpet because they hadn’t paid for main stage promotion.
Having faced a lot of criticism in his career, the sitya loss star also asked other artists “If you think you are better challenge me.”
