Uganda has always had epidemic diseases from Ebola, Aids and many others but lately, it’s cancer that has become rampant, claiming many lives every day including celebrities like Rose Mary Nankabirwa, Mark Argustines Makumbi and Bbale Francis among others. And to add on the list is Jonathan Tumusiime Amooti, son to events promoter Balaam.
Jonathan passed on yesterday before he could travel to the US for treatment.
“Germ cell tumor has deprived us of our wonderful ninja before he reaches the best hospital in the world. We had secured for him to travel to America yesterday. He couldn’t reach here! After a long battle in India,” Balaam wrote on his facebook wall yesterday after the incident before adding that it’s the Lord who gives and takes and wishing his son’s soul rest in peace.

The information we have received is that a vigil is happening tonight at Balaam’s place in Ntinda before a requiem mass at St. Charles Lwanga Church in Ntinda tomorrow at 11am before he is laid to rest at Nakasajja on Gayaza Road thereafter at 2pm.
Balaam’s son had battled cancer which saw him visiting several hospitals like Mulago, Redcross Hospital South Africa, Aster Medcity in India and due to travel to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Massachusetts USA, before he breathed his last.
“I will miss you forever you are irreplaceable master. I will continue sharing your love with children in same cancer condition,” Balaam promised.
