Yesterday night, the Kabalagala based ‘Venom Beach Bar’ was at its best as fans and celebrities from different corners of Kampala City and its suburbs came in large numbers to join the ‘Mayanja Family’ in conjunction with Venom were celebrating the late AK 47’s life and 25th birthday. Doors were opened as early as 9pm and by 10 pm, people were seen paying a pocket friendly price to be part of event on entrance.
After a two hours’ music entertainment by dj Star Boy to warm up the crowd which was continuing to grow bigger every minute, NTV’s Mc Kats who was the official host officially kicked off what the revelers had paid for with performances from local artistes who were many in number but everyone had to put up a performance. Kabarasi was the first artiste to take the stage, followed by Denis Lamar, Papa Cidy, Shanks Monitor Diziza (Mad Rasta) who led to a short break.
However much they were celebrating and remembering the deceased artiste’s life, it did not stop the fans from having fun in the spacious Venom Beach Bar. To those who did not drink, they had no reasons to remain hungry because of the presence of kitchen which was stocked with food and snacks.
After the break, Guvnor Ace, Skyper, Kidman, Bilangi Langi also took the stage to before they premiered a tribute song for the late Akay which features Geo Steady, Big Eye, Levixone, TIP Swizzy, Khalifah Aga Naga, Aziz Azion and Young Mulo artistes among others. Shortly after, Party People dance crew, Grenade, Kevin Killa, Beenie Gunter, Bobi Wine and Nubian Li, Young Mulo, Atlas, Fefe Busi, Leila Kayondo and Raba Daba also added on the fans’ excitement with their performances.
Pallaso, Weasel and their big brother Dr Jose Chameleone performances were the last for the night and all the revelers got crowded besides the stage to catch the 3 talented Mayanja Family members officially celebrate their deceased brother’s life and 25th birthday with musical performances.
