Fans Join Bobi Wine To Mourn His Driver Who Was Shot Dead

We begin on a sad note as we say ‘Rest In Peace’ Mr Yasin Kawuma who has been the personal driver to Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, Honourable Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu commonly known as Bobi Wine.

Yasin was confirmed dead by Bobi Wine himself after he was reportedly shot by security forces in Arua town where MP and his team went to rally behind Kassiano Wadri who is one of the candidate vying for the post of Arua Municipality Member of Parliament in an upcoming by-election to replace the former MP late Ibrahim Abiriga who was gruesomely murdered a few months ago.

Bobi Wine who is a local musician, was one of the first people to break the news of his driver’s murder as he took to his Twitter account and posted “Police has shot my driver dead thinking they’ve shot at me. My hotel is now coddoned off by police and SFC

According to reports this shooting incident happened a few meters from Hotel Pacific where Kasiano Wadri’s supporters clashed with NRM’s Nusura Tiperu’s on their ways home after the campaign rallies. It was also reported that the encounter turned rowdy thus Police’s intervention to bring the situation back to order.

It was in the process that Mr Yasin (Bobi Wine’s driver) was caught by live bullets which left him lifeless, lying in the Tundra car. However, by the time he was shot, the car was being driven to someone else who also at times drives it.

Following his Twitter statement, Bobi Wine claims that the Bullets that claimed his driver’s life were meant for him but he miraculously survived because he was not seated in the ‘targeted seat.’

People have taken to social media to mourn alongside Bobi Wine in these sad days;
