It’s our favourite part of the event when we love to harsh out the fashion trends that took place on this edition of Blankets and Wine. Lets dig in:
The Kitenge. when you think the frenzy has died out you realize, well it never left! the ladies have found a new funky way to keep this trend alive. Not to mention the host Deedan wore it beautifully. i also applaud the girls that paired it off with the new knee high gladiators.
Reflectors. I remember when the shades had to cover your entire face hehe. This time it was about how bright they are. the reflectors are not a new thing and have been around but never so many in one congregation in Kampala. Even the aviation glasses were reflectors.
Chiffon. this has been one of the most consistent trend at Blankets and Wine event, simply because its outdoorsy! any day time picnic event screams chiffon fabric for the ladies. it is usually paired with a kitenge or denim and the ladies nailed the look and mood at every turn.
Big hats. what can i say about these it was sunny and out doors. Before Blankets and Wine, it was common at the goat races but now they never miss and surely will be a main stay.
The Jump suit. with legs angelic legs stretching that long, who wouldn’t want to show them. the jumpsuits came out to play. We had floral prints, chiffon, denim, Kitenge jumpsuits. this look is not for the faint-hearted though.
- Shorts. We had short short shorts. yes really short (lol) ok shorts too but the most popular were the denim shorts and kitenge shorts that looked great.
