As they crowned the 2016-17 Miss Uganda on Saturday at Serena Hotel-Kampala, a lot of things happened and one of them was FDC’s strong-Iron Lady Cecilia Ogwal’s moment which was quite an interesting one. Being the first ever Miss Uganda in 1969, Mrs Ogwal was invited to say something brief to the country.

As she passed on her message, she was however disappointed in the government on how there was no representative in attendance especially basing on the fact that the Miss Uganda pageant is a big and national event that deservers to truly be embraced by the government.

“We have very many women government organisations, we have the ministry of culture why are they not here? These ladies are going to represent them too so I am going to commission myself to be your ambassador and tell the government. First of all am going to ask them why they didn’t attend this function when all the beauties of Uganda have gathered together, it is not a right thing to do when you are a leader.” Disappointed Cecilia Ogwal said

Honourable Cecilia the Dokolo woman MP, had other interesting things she did on stage like dancing for the revellers and asking the Dj to play for her more nice songs so she can do another round of the dance. She then later handed over car keys to the eventual winner Miss Uganda 2016 Leah Kagasa from Fort Portal.
