The 7th edition of Zzina was held last weekend on Friday night and although the scientific event well largely uninterrupted although it did not go without controversy after some artistes felt they were unfairly cheated after failing to win awards they expected or desperately wanted to win.
Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy The King Herself is still licking her wounds till this day after Spice Dian thumped her to the Female Artiste of the Year award to the disappointment and chagrin of the dance-hall singer who has since taken to social media to express her dissatisfaction.
And another of the local stars who is heartbroken and inconsolable is Shafiq Walukaga commonly known as Fik Fameica who felt he had achieved a lot both on the local and international scene that warranted an accolade.
Fik Fameica too used his social media platforms to express his dissatisfaction he lost to freestyle maestro Feffe Bussi to accolade of Best Luga Flow/Rap artist of the year.
The Fresh Gang boss quarried in a tweet which he later deleted why he could not even win a single award with all the big hits he had trending locally and internationally.
“No awards won but big songs local and international” Fameica tweeted.
His tweet provoked a swift response from Galaxy FM boss Innocent Nahabwe who also is the man behind the awards to reply in cheeky manner by asking him not to be fooled by his followers who were commenting on his tweet like the crowd that showed at his flopped concert at Lugogo in 2018.
“Don’t be the guys commenting here deceive you like the crowds that showed up at your concert at Lugogo. Take it easy! We love you…be humble”. He replied.
This response threw several of Fameica’s followers into bouts of laugher with some saying he has been ‘shown level’ a phrase to imply he was put to his rightful place, to imply he is still young in the music industry like the few fans he had at his flopped concert in Kyadondo Rugby Club in 2018.
Fameica decided to withdraw and swallow his shame in silence after unceremoniously deleting the post.
