Following Ziza Bafana’s cancelled concert at Kati Kati, businessman and Freedom city owner John Ssebalamu offered the artiste a free venue to have the concert at the end of this month.
The tycoon ran to the artiste’s rescue after feeling pity for him for his misfortune. He also added that whoever had bought the tickets for the show will still use them at Freedom city on the 30th of this month.
Ziza Bafana’s concert dubbed Guluma nasomye/Batufitina was cancelled a few minutes after it had begun due to lack of proper documentation from KCCA and NEMA for the show to proceed.
The stage and lighting had already been set up when Kampala City Council Authority swung into action faulting the show organizers for not going through proper procedures of seeking the authority for permission to hold the show.
After the organizers pleaded with KCCA officials to allow the show go on and promising to pay all the required fees failed, Ziza Bafana stepped on stage in tears and apologized to his fans then disappeared according to our source.
Kati Kati Grounds in one of the venues that KCCA had previously banned from holding concerts over noise pollution and not adhering to rules of having shows end at midnight.
