“I’ve chosen to celebrate each and every ministry opportunity especially platforms were God projects himself through me among crowds. Ministry does not get any better than this! Its happening this Sunday and I will be representing Jesus Christ my king of kings at the @blanketsandwine alongside the biggest duo @mafikizolo_africa from South Africa and @kwela_band lets spread the word of God to the world.”
That was Levixone’s Facebook post ahead of the upcoming 15th edition of Blankets and Wine brought to you by House of Djs and sponsored by Tusker, Stanbic Bank, DSTV among others which is slated to take place this Sunday the 25th of September in a new venue Lugogo Cricket Oval.
With the guest headlining artistes Mafiki Zolo from South Africa, Levixone popularly known for songs like ‘Samanya’, ‘Shuga’ alongside Daisy Ejang among others, will also perform for his fans come Sunday and according to his Facebook post, he seems to be more than ready for the big do.
However, it has been a big debate as to whether gospel music artistes are okay to perform at secular events or not. For Levixone it is very ok. Apparently music lovers are in high spirits for this event that do not only have Levixone and Mafiki Zolo performing but also a Kenyan rapper Saint Evo, South African-based Ugandan folk singer Giovani Kiyinji and Qwela band.
The line up is truly not a joke and Levixone is just counting hours to show time. This year he has put up energetic performances at the Good Times Family gospel music show, Uganda Entertainments awards, Muchomo Festival, Sing and Dance with Baby Gloria concert, Coopy Bly’s One Last Time concert among others and we expect nothing less at Blankets and Wine.
