Gospel Singer Levixone’s Song ‘Ponya’ Wins Big At Maranatha Awards Eastern Africa

Gospel singer Levixone’s ‘Ponya’ song is not just a hit but as we write this, it is now an awarding winning tune after beating the other 9 songs it was nominated with to the award of Outstanding Ragga-Reggae Fusion Ministration Of Excellenceat the inaugural Maranatha Awards Eastern Africa which were held on Sunday the 25th of August in Nairobi Kenya

Among the songs which ‘Ponya’ beat to the award were ‘Yihe Nen Yegebagn’ by Yosef Kassa (Ethiopia), ‘Watachangamana Nami’ by Riziki Alema Ft Bahati Bukuku (Tanzania), ‘Mercy’ By Guardian Angel (Kenya), ‘Wanitosha’ By Madam Flora (Tanzania), ‘Nikuone’ By Dafari (Kenya), ‘Unstoppable’ By Coopy Bly Ft Robinsan (Uganda), ‘God Is In Control’ by Kush Tracey (Kenya), ‘Kwako Salama’ by Derick Ndonge Ft Ambwene Mwasongwe (Tanzania) and ‘Easy’ by Havoc Musiq (Kenya)

A while ago, Levixone took to social media to express his excitement by posting a photo of him sleeping with the award in bed.

“God has come to show us favor again at the Maranatha Awards for East Africa for our faithfulness to Him. Our song #Ponya was awarded best song in the East African Ragga-Reggae category*. These awards had gospel artistes from 9 countries namely Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia and it is a franchise of the Maranatha Global Worship Music Awards (MGWMA) with an aim of acknowledging authentic biblical worship music
