  • MTN To wind up activities to celebrate 20 years of connecting Ugandans.

This weekend all the wise men from the East will congregate in Mbale as MTN Uganda concludes its regional tours with a mega concert at Mbale grounds. The concert that will be the climax of celebrations to mark 20 years of MTN in Uganda follows a country tour where similar expos were also organized in Kabale, Gulu, Lira, Mbarara, FortPortal, Arua and Hoima.

Big name artistes have been lined up for the mega do from Kampala to spice up the celebrations to wind up the regional tours that starts on Thursday 23rd and climaxes on Saturday 25th May 2019. The star-studded line up of Kampala-based contingent of artistes that will be heading to the East will include headliners Gravity Omutujju and Cindy the King Herself.

Cindy Sanyu will be performing alongside her queen dancers at the climax of the MTN Regional Tours on Saturday.

Others on the list for the epic grand finale to close down the celebrations include, the captivating young rapper Fresh Kid who is expected to shut down Mbale with his energetic performances alongside the Ghetto kids who will be pulling off those electric dance moves that will paralyze  Mbale.

The Ghetto Kids will showcase some of these unique dance moves come D-day.

What is a party without the home boys and girls? Sure enough the home grown talent will also be available to represent as led by veteran rapper Byg Ben Sukuya, Titus Vybes, Frencha Nezza, and locally adored song bird, Sharon Sento.

According to sources from the giant telecom company, other activities on the menu will include a breath-taking, colorful display of fireworks to tantalize the skies of Mbale and a bicycle race for the sports lovers.

Kick-boxer Golola Moses thrills cyclists at a previous tour event. The Bicycle race will also feature this time round in Mbale.

Under the MTN Foundation, the telecom company will also commission the refurbished Naboa health center III and also handover hospital beds, mattresses, blankets and bed nets to the facility as MoMoPay will officially be launched.
