Jamaican reggae musician was supposed to have performed in Uganda on Boxing Day but just like Tarrus Riley, he failed to make it and all because of the vague promoters.
The Reggae crooner Windel Beneto Edwards, better known by his stage name Gyptian had earlier been publicized to perform at Penial Beach in Entebbe at a concert dubbed “Entebbe Reggae Festival” but information of his not coming leaked on Christmas day.
It was reported that the musician missed his ‘Flight’. “Gyptian missed the connection flight from Miami and instead flew straight to Jamaica,” Part of the communication from the concerts’s digital team read. “Getting him and his team to jet to Kampala in time for the concert has been made impossible by the fact it is Christmas,” the message further read.
While more information we received had it that the musician was not fully paid and would only step foot in Uganda after receiving the whole amount agreed.
The organizers haven’t yet come out with a new date for his first performance in Uganda but promised that whoever had bought a ticket to the show would be refunded.
