A few days ago, Tanzanian musician Harmonize real names Rajab Abdul Kahali edited the ‘Signed under ‘Wasafi’ record label’ on his Facebook profile and no one took this too serious
However, a reliable presenter from Classic 105 one of the top Tanzanian radio stations Maina Kageni confirmed that the ‘Bongo Flava’ star Harmonize is leaving Wasafi Crew.
“He is in the process of leaving Wasafi and setting up his own record label called, ‘Konde Gang’.” Maina said during the Breakfast Show on Thursday. Kageni is reliable because he is a close friend to Harmonize
Harmonize was the first artiste to be signed under the ‘Wasafi Classic Baby’ commonly known as Wasafi before other great acts such as Rayvanny, Rich Mavoko, Queen Darleen, Lava Lava and Mbosso.
Speculation about his exit started when fans noticed he was not on the list of this year’s annual ‘Wasafi Festival’.
Wasafi boss, singer Diamond Platnumz said most of the artistes have been booked elsewhere and that is why they will not take perform at the festival. “We don’t all need to be in the same event,” Diamond explained on Wasafi TV.
Harmonize has of recent been on a journey to conquer Uganda after landing collaborations with Eddy Kenzo, Sheeba and Chameleone as well as blending in some Luganda lines in some of his songs’ lyrics.
