After close to two months of endless visits to court, Wamala Godfrey alias Troy, the suspected killer of late vocalist and singer Mowzey Radio has finally asked for forgiveness from the deceased’s family and the general public.
Troy, said that his intention was not to kill the musician but Radio just slid from his hands and hit his head on the ground at De Bar hangout in Entebbe.
“I Didn’t Intend to Kill Mowzey Radio. He just slid from my hands and unfortunately hit his head on the ground. Please kindly forgive me” he said.
Radio was allegedly thrown on the ground by Troy on Monday the 22nd of January this year and spent ten days in coma at Case Hospital before he passed on on 1st February.
Ever since the incident, Troy went into hiding and was discovered a week after Radio’s death in Kyengera after which police arrested him.
“Katwe Police have arrested the suspected killer of singer Radio Mowzey. The suspect Godfrey Wamala was found at a friend’s home in Kyengera where he had been hiding,” a report from the Uganda police reported.
On Saturday the 3rd of February 2018, Radio was finally laid to rest in Kagga-Nakawuka located in Entebbe district at exactly 3 PM amidst million of mourners from different parts of the country.
