Here Is What You Need To Know About Dance-Hall Star Konshens

He is one of the finest in Jamaica’s Reggae/Dance-hall industry and the world at large, his hit songs like ‘Do Sumn’, ‘Simple Song’ and ‘Gyal a Bubble’ will testify to that. Konshens indeed is one of the all time finest artistes in that area.

On 28th the Hot dance-hall star will be in Kampala battling it musically with fellow Dance-hall and Reggae star Busy Signal at Lugogo Cricket Oval in a concert dubbed ‘Dancing With The Champions’ brought to you by Pepsi.

Born Garfield Delano Spence back on 11th of January 1985 and raised in Sherlock Kingston-Jamaica, Konshens officially got on the music scene in 2005 with hit songs like ‘Rasta Imposter’ (meaning money), ‘Pon Di Corner’ with brother Delus and Good Girl Gone Bad which he did with Reggae singer Tarrus Riley. He has five siblings; his mother is a cosmetologist and his father a retired soldier.

Konshens who is also a father of a beautiful daughter, has a large fanbase in Guyana (one of the Caribbean Countries) and Europe, where his “Gal Dem Talk” single was a major hit, he performed at Guyana’s National Stadium in May 2011. From then Konshens has shown too much interest and willingness to what he loves and this has taken him places around the world including Uganda where he is coming for the third time. The reputation he built made Pepsi sign him as a brand ambassador in his homeland Jamaica.

Many people know Konshens for his classic videos with half naked women but surprisingly, he has gospel songs for example ‘Prayer’ and ‘Jah Love Me’, those who might not know his other songs, below is a list of some top hits since 2005.
