Spice Diana real name Diana Hajara Namukwaya in an Interview on NTV blundered on air when she claimed she scored 32 points in A-Level yet the maximum points a candidate can score in Uganda’s current A-level system is 20.
She was ridiculed and trolled on Social Media for weeks but was not moved instead she took advantage of the talk to record a song titled ‘32’ where she featured Ragga muffin Weasel Manizo which became an instant hit among her fans.
But the truth is, Spice Diana is actually not as dumb as many people may think because of her TV bloopers as she graduated from Makerere University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Fine Arts.
However, she has since tasted some success in her music career and built a legion of die-hard fans but feels; she needs to take it a notch higher. So as the ambassadorial deals started trickling in, she decided to build her brand in a professional way and herself a professional outlook.
So, she thought this would be by re-branding and marketing herself the proper manner to make her a “better person” that’s why she decided to go back to school.
“Soon I’ll be going back to school to study more about branding and marketing. I want to be better person everyday, I want my brand to develop, to be remembered. I want people to learn from me,” Spice Diana said during an interview with Youtubers Sean Musa Carter and Denis Duke.
It should be remembered that, Spice has of late been landing somemega deals in branding and marketing by being the face of some products on the Ugandan market. She is the face of Italtex Tile Adhesive where she features on the company’s billboards and TV commercials.
Her face also appears on Yaket Mineral Water which many consumers refer to as “Spine Diana water”. Insiders reveal, these and many other deals she has under belt opened her eyes to think outside the box for a wider scope of the business the reason to study marketing.
