Hilarious Reactions From Ugandans As 318 Covid Cases Are Registered In A Day

The fact is, Covid19 is real although some Ugandans still don’t believe that the deadly disease is in our country too.

Before we hit and surpassed 1000 cases, the doubting Thomases were that many but after we did and even began registering some deaths, the doubters have multiplied by an unknown number and social media is one of the platforms where they express their doubt and disbelief.

We in July published a compilation of hilarious comments by Ugandans on social media, especially those doubting Covid’s availability, about the Ministry of Health social media posts announcing how Uganda had surpassed 1000.

The same people and probably with more others are back at it following today’s announcement  that 318 cases were registered on Saturday the 22nd of August.

“Today, Uganda has registered the highest number COVID-19 cases at 318 in a single day” Read part of the post on Ministry of Health social platforms.

Of these 318, 154  are from Amuru district prisons and these are 153 prisoners and 1 staff. The cases were contacts and alerts from different towns and cities like Kampala which registered 65, Kiryandongo-14, Gulu-9, Mbarara-9, Kitgum-8, Arua-8, Wakiso-7, Mbale-4, Buikwe-4, Masaka-2, Bugiri-1, Jinja-1, Luweero-1 Manafwa 1, Masindi 1 and  Mityana 1

There are also health workers who tested positive from districts, Kitgum with 9, Kampala 6, Arua 2, Adjumani 1, Kiryandongo 1, Luweero 1 and lastly cargo track drivers  from border entry points. Malaba had 3, Busia 2, Mpondwe 1, Oraba 1 and  Madi Opei 1

This  has become the highest number of cases registered in a single but despite the ministry’s efforts to inform  the country, some people haven’t taken this information seriously
