Back in the years, Hip Hop music was not so common on the Ugandan music map. Navio is one of those Ugandan artistes who have really put Uganda on the map when it comes to Hip-Hop music. He is natural when it comes to rhyming which makes his flow easy to the ear. He got known on Ugandan music scene in the early 2000’s with songs like ‘Rakus’ where he featured Dance-Hall star Peter Miles and ‘All I Wanna Know’ on which he featured soulful singing diva Juliana Kanyomozi.
He is one of the pioneer members of the hip-hop music crew ‘Klear Kut’ which has members like The Mith, JB and Papito. Born Daniel Lubwama Kigozi, Navio has travelled to many places around Africa and the world at large in music tours. He has been to the United States of America where his genre Hip-Hop is believed to have originated. Talking about travelling, the ‘Ngalo’ hit maker is currently in Lagos-Nigeria raising dust in a music tour.
He performed at the Nigeria’s Dj Jimmy’s Jump off festival on Wednesday which was a massive event and so far he could easily be confused as a citizen of Nigeria with lots of love and support shown to him. Talking about love and support, Navio has so far aired on one of the best radio stations in Nigeria – Cool FM where he was talking about his music.
As if that is not enough, he will be performing at Club N-Tyse located at Karimu Kotun Street Victoria Island-Lagos, tomorrow where he is expected to put up a massive performance.
“It’s about to get LIT. I’ll be out at Club N-Tyse tomorrow night. Get ready to turn up! LIT Saturdays just got hotter! NavInNaija”. Said Navio in a social media message from Lagos. As the Hip Hop star takes on Lagos, we wish him all the best in his endeavors and will update you on new related developments.
