How Sauti Ya Africa Trio Became Commonwealth Ambassadors


After winning a music competition that had over 4000 competitors from 53 countries of the Commonwealth, Ugandan music Trio Sauti Ya Africa which started as an a cappella group came out as winners with another groups from Antigua and Barmuda.

Their uneasy win therefore helped them to to be named as Commonwealth Music Ambassadors immediately. According to the contract, they shall be traveling to U.K to record in a London based studios and a they are also preparing for mega Performance which will be attended by the Queen of England herself and many other presidents

As if that is not enough, Sauti Ya Africa shall move around the Commonwealth states advocating for many things as part of their duty as ambassadors.

Sauti Ya Africa which is Swahili Language for ‘Voice of Africa’ is among the most acclaimed Trios in Africa that has set an international standard

After the successful release of their debut single ‘Amaalo’ followed by ‘Alumwa Alumwe’, Sauti Ya Africa has once again hit the airwaves with a brand new single titled ‘Biri Mugwe’. These guys are the only African musicians who have performed for more than 50 presidents and still counting.
