A day after President Museveni reopened the economy fully nearly after two years, at the beginning of the year, events organisers and artistes started announcing dates for social events and among them was the “Therefore Etteta” concert organised by the Kansanga, Kampala based Galaxy FM.
Although this was not on the normal radio station’s events calendar, it still offered the ambience of typical Galaxy FM events which always boast of an action pack of entertainment from local artistes, comedians, disc jockeys and MCs, and this is what the hundreds of revellers from all corners of Kampala thronged Jahazi Pier, located in Munyonyo to have an experience of, on Sunday the 6th of February.
It could be told from the vibe of the revellers who began making their way to the venue as early as 10 AM that indeed, they missed events and what they offer, through the energy they were exhibiting as they cheered their favourite artistes each had come to watch perform for them on stage.
The artistes were also excited to get back on stage after all this long and this was seen from their thrilling performances. Some artistes brought the drama with them on stage like Luga Flow artiste Gravity Omutujju with his group of funny dancers and singer Kapa Kat who literally ‘undressed’ among other funny moments.
The performances started as early and 6 PM and local artistes like Sheebah Karungi, Karole Kasita, Gravity Omutujju, Nina Roz, Pia Pounds, John Blaq, Fik Fameica, Spice Diana, Mudra, Feffe Bussi, Zex Bilangi Laangi, Anknown, Liam Voice, Daddy Andre, Kapa Cat, Big Eye, Nisay P, Vyper Ranking, Detacha, Little Joe, Aroma, Green Daddy, Hash Beats and Yo Kuki kept the crowd entertained with a good vibe from start to end at 10 PM.
This was a perfect post lockdown celebration and the biggest highlight was former Team No Sleep singer Sheebah Karungi meeting her fan Queen The Lover, a 16-year-old from Mukono who two months ago travelled from Mukono to meet her.
