Media personality, Actress and celebrated events MC Diana Deedan Muyira also known as Miss Deedan has officially joined The Breakfast Show on Sanyu FM. Deedan who has been working as host of ‘The Jam’ on Radio city since 2016, joins one of the oldest FM Radio stations in the country after it was thrown into disarray following a staff strike early last month.
It is not yet clear whether Deedan joins as co-host to comedian Salvador Patrick Idringi who was drafted in to fill the void left by departing veteran presenter James Onen aka Fatboy or whether she will officially take over the show with a new co-presenter. Fatboy and many others got fired following the said sit-down strike that has since destabilized the station for close to two months now.
Miss Deedan couldn’t hide her excitement after the announcement was made on the station’s social media pages with a flyer welcoming her. In the photo for the artwork, she is seen seated on a vintage green coupe car with ‘Sanyu Fm’ marked on the registration plates.
She also thanked the station Radio City where she presented from 3pm–7pm for molding her into the charming and sometimes crazy presenter she is today.
“I cannot believe the daughter of @97fmRadiocity is now old enough to leave home and start her journey in another home! Rc molded me into this presenter, i will forever be grateful! @882SanyuFM thank you for welcoming me.” She posted on twitter.
The news of her joining Sanyu was first shared by socialite and city club marketer Gareth Onyango after the announcement was posted before it picked momentum online.
Deedan was born in Kenya and came to Uganda for work but has since found a home here fitting very well onto the entertainment and social scene. She has also made a name by being one of the co-hosts of the picnic-style music festival Blankets and Wine which happens quarterly at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
She also hosted the morning show on Urban Tv called ‘Urban Today’ and has also featured in Tv shows – one of the biggest being Nanna Kagga’s ‘Beneath The Lies’ acting as Tracy Kintu.
