Speaking to journalists via a live broadcast call from New York, acclaimed American RnB singer, songwriter Mya assured Ugandans that she is so excited and can’t wait to perform in the country come November 30th at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The star is set to headline the Johnnie Walker All Music Safari concert dubbed “30thAll Music Safari.” In what is expected to be a sensational concert of “keeping live music live with Johnnie Walker’s All Music Safari”
Mya who said she has already been to Africa and performed in countries like Tanzania, Egypt, Ethiopia, Angola and most recently Lagos Nigeria will be coming to Uganda for the first time. She also added that she loves nature; trying different cuisines, local life and would love to visit Game Parks to see different animals while in the country.
Mýa is widely recognized for her RnB musical prowess with several hit songs that speak to the soul like Take Me There, Case of the ExandGirls Dem Sugar that have achieved the status of timeless classics. She will be performing for her first time in Uganda, sharing the stage with homegrown talents like Myko Ouma, Kenneth Mugabi and Joseph Sax among many others.
The event will also be an emotional for veteran music promoter Tshaka Mayanja, the man behind the Jazz and Soul Safaris as he be celebrating 30 years in the entertainment business. While on the other side title sponsors Johnnie Walker will be celebrating 200 years since its inception.
While addressing the media at the same press conference held yesterday at Industrial area-based nightclub, Guvnor, Mayanja revealed his delight in bringing music lovers different sessions of entertainment and music genres in one big exciting concert.
“As we celebrate 30 years in the music industry, a gratifying milestone, we would like to assure our fans that this concert will be one unforgettably thrilling experience. We have put in outstanding work to bring you the most unique concert for all soulful music lovers out there,” said Mayanja.
Different partners and sponsors who were present also echoed their commitment in supporting the concert as some of the proceeds will be going to charity.

Limited early bird tickets are on sale at UGX85,000 while Platinum/VIP tickets go for UGX300,000. Regular tickets will cost UGX100,000. The tickets can be bought from these selling points at House of Walker, Sheraton, Shell Select Bugolobi, Shell Select Kira Road (Bukoto), Shell Select Kabalagala and Shell Select Lugogo.
