A few weeks ago, Azawi, one of the hottest local rising singers who came on the music scene in February 2020 with her 5-track extended play (EP) “Lo Fit” boasting of songs like “Repeat It”, announced the release of her debut album and her fans cannot wait.
Signed under Kampala-based record label Swangz Avenue, Azawi said that the 16-track-album, titled “African Music” will be officially out on all music streaming platforms on 9th October 2021 which is Uganda’s 59th Independence day.

There has been and still there is hype on social media ahead of its release and going by her posts lately, especially ones about the album, Azawi promises nothing but good African Music which “she cannot wait her fans to enjoy” and she also revealed that she outdid herself while doing everything she had to do to put out this album with songs off it like “My Year” and “Slow Dancing” already out.
She reveled this recently on her official Twitter account that boasts of 33.7K followers.

On this album, Azawi has songs featuring local artistes like “Thankful” featuring singer and record producer Benon who is the co-founder of Swangz Avenue, “Majje”, “Face Me”, “Nkuchekele” featuring rapper Fik Fameica, Dancehall singer A Pass and 2015 BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo respectively.
She also worked with different record producers on this album like Steve Keys, Kusseim, Nessim and Bomba. Saturday is the day her fans get to listen new “African Music” from from their artiste.
