On Wednesday during the Pepsi sponsored comedy night at Laftaz comedy lounge, Vampino was hosted and he was put on the spot by Prince Emma, like it has always been regarding other celebrities.
Vampino was asked why he wasn’t part of the artistes who pledged allegiance to NRM and his answer was that he wasn’t in the country by then but would have been part of it if he was. “I had left four days before the presidential dinner at Speke Resort Munyonyo but if I was in the country, I would have been part of the team. There is no problem in that because we are all looking for bread at the end of the day. I have a family to feed. Right now, I have three boys and they are looking at me as their bread winner so that money would have done me a great deal” he said.
Prince Emma then asked him if Maurice Kirya’s decision to hit back at those who attended was okay. “Maurice is my little brother and like any other person, he’s entitled to his own feeling. But if I was around, I would have probably talked to him to come and we eat that yellow money together,” he replied.
The ‘Kwekunyakunya’ artiste also said that if any political party is still interested in having a dancehall artiste on board, he’s readily available after all even those who decided to join NRM are in for financial gains and nothing else.
