International Comedy Stars To Return For Salvado’s Africa Laughs Season 4

Many comedy fans still carry fresh memories of comedian Patrick ‘Salvado’ Idringi’s last show ‘The Man From Ombokolo’ held at Imperial Royal Hotel in which he cracked ribs with fresh jokes that he packaged basing on the story of his life and journey in the comedy industry.

The International award-winning stand-up comedian is yet again back at it with his international friends this time, with the return of the Africa Laughs season four. The show which started in 2013 happens after every two years celebrates its fourth season on October 8, 2018 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

He will be as usual treating Ugandans to a steady supply of humour yet again after the return of his star-studded Africa Laughs show which was confirmed yesterday at a press briefing.

“This time round we are going to have a first class comedy experience at a new venue in Kampala Serena Hotel with my usual international friends like Basketmouth (Nigeria), crowd favourite Eddie Kadi (Congo) who is smooth, Prof Hamo (Kenya), Kevin J (UK), Alfred Kainga (Zimbabwe), Mc Jessy (Kenya) and Arthur Nkusi (Rwanda) coming through to join our very own home comedians.” Salvado said yesterday at Speke Apartments.

 And for the first time we shall be introducing a talented young lady called Agnes Akite. Some of you may have seen her on other smaller platforms but this time, we shall be introducing her onto the big scene” Salvado added.

Comedian Patrick ‘Salvado’ Idringi (C) briefs journalists on what to expect at this year’s Africa Laughs show. 

Agnes Akite will be teaming up with other local stars; Ronnie McVex who will be the MC, Prince [Napoleone] Emma, Daniel Omara, and the crazy duo of Mad Rat and Chicko to join the international stars on the big stage.

Last years’ event went down as a day to remember for comedy enthusiasts as International comedians from across the continent conspired to break ribs of Ugandans with their jokes that left many in stitches and tears. And according to Salvado and his colleagues from Sheer Solutions Africa, this year’s will even be more ‘bloody’.

“The industry has risen from nothing to grace. As major stakeholders in the industry, we have the challenge of keeping things new and exciting to keep our audiences satisfied. Africa Laughs returns with lots of additions as we continue to grow and develop comedy,” He explained

Salvado who has over the years transformed into one of the biggest brands in comedy industry both locally and across the continent with his blend of laugh-out-loud humour and cheeky charm will be fully supported by Singleton whose brand manager Annette Nakiyiga confessed looked for the man from Ongbokolo to become their brand ambassador.

“One of the finest feelings in the world is the deep rooted belly giggle. It can bring people together to establish amazing connections, and create unforgettable moments. This year it will be quit some experience first because we are moving to a new classy venue at Serena and everything else will be an experience to remember.” Nakiyiga added

With other partners Betway, Rwanda Air, Shell V-Power and Ruparelia Group pledging full support, the stage is all set for the comedians to do their thing. Tickets for the show will be sold at Shs. 100,000 for individuals, with tables going for 5,000,000/-
