Fans have been wondering where singer Irene Ntale has been ever since she held her successful ‘Ntale Unchained’ concert that filled Kampala Serena Hotel in July 2018.
At the beginning of this year, she released a few songs before she went quiet but during this quietness however, Ntale has mainly been active on social media as well as cooking a lot in her music kitchen and she now feels everything is now ready to be served
After signing a contract with Universal Music Group Nigeria (UMGNG) a division of the American based Universal Music Group (UMG), she is now back with a big bang, making her the first Ugandan artiste to sign with UMGNG brand which she has been in talks with for almost two years time.
Irene explained that signing with Universal Music Group is an amazing partnership and venture and she cannot wait to serve her fans what they have been cooking together
“I got signed to Universal and it’s not something that just happened. I have been in talks for over two years and It finally happened. I had to keep on travelling to Nigeria to record the music and getting ready in time so that is what I have not been everywhere. The music is ready” Explained Irene at a press briefing at Speak Apartments located in Kitante, Kampala
This partnership with UMG doesn’t however mean that they will fully take over her music career and management. She will remain doing her style of music but UMG will come in as provider of any resources and anything else she needs to build her brand
“For us it’s just the fact that there is talent everywhere and our goal is to make sure we make her a bigger brand as possible and make her an example to Uganda” Said Ezegozie Eze the General Universal Music Group Nigeria
Singer Irene Ntale officially got went solo in January 2017 after quitting Swangz Avenue, a local record label which nurtured her talent for 5 years.
