On Friday, students of Makerere University Business School (MUBS) got a shock of their lives when musician Jackie Chandiru collapsed before making her speech.
She was invited to the university as the main speaker during the MUBS Women’s forum event alongside others key note speakers like Brigadier General Felix Kulaigye and Ms Joseline Kateeba the MD Crest Foam to talk about the dangers of drug abuse and how to possibly prevent drug consumption .
Before she addressed the students, Jackie collapsed and was rushed to hospital by her aides and since then, there were so much assumptions on what had actually happened. However, she came out today and took to her Twitter account and explained that her collapse was caused by insomnia and hunger.
“I would like to thank @MakerereU. Business School Women’s Forum, The Principal Prof. Waswa Balunywa & the MUBs Dr for the support offered during my seizure. My insomnia and lack of appetite for the past few days took its toll but I am feeling better now ”Read her Tweet
On the other hand, the good news was that the ‘Agasi’ singer was able to regain consciousness and straight away went and performed at the Girls Festival 2019 which took place at Lugogo Hockey Grounds later on.
