Jamaican reggae artist Ricardo Suave has expressed his desire to work with all Uganda top reggae artists. He says this is the only strategy that will help his music breakthrough the African market.
Speaking at a radio telephone interview on Metro FM’s Sunday reggae show hosted by presenter Tinti, Ricardo said he wants to do collaborations with Uganda’s top artists because he wants to start having concerts in Uganda and Africa at large.
“I have heard of Chameleone, am researching more about him and other Ugandan musicians, because I have hired a Dee Jay in Kampala to promote me there,”
He said that he wants to be popular in Africa and the rest of the world like his counter parts Konshens, Sean Paul, Busy Signal, Beenie Man and others.
“These guys are big not only here but the rest of the world, I want to get international breakthrough,” he said.
Asked whether artistes like Bobi Wine, Peter Miles and Bebe Cool are known in Jamaica, Ricardo said their music is nowhere to be heard in Jamaica because they have the best reggae musicians in the whole world.
