Uganda’s top Jazz radio station 106.1 Jazz FM today announced a strong partnership with organisers of the The Annual Nile Gold Jazz & Soul Safari to support the annual jazz festival now in its 9th edition which is scheduled to take place this Saturday at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
This was made public today morning at a press conference to unveil this year’s edition headlining artistes Maxi Priest, The Soul trumpeter Lin Soul-Trumpeter Rountree among others and Lilian Mbabazi who represented the local stars at Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
The group from abroad arrived last night aboard KLM and landed at Entebebbe Airport at 10pm ahead of the highly anticipated Jazz festival that will kick off as early as 30pm. They promised the best Jazz show ever in the country.
“Jazz FM heavily supports Jazz in Uganda and around the world and is the only Jazz station in East and Central Africa. We are proud to be partnering for the second time with Nile Gold for the The Annual Nile Gold Jazz & Soul Safari as we go to greater heights.” Said Jazz FM’s Nansiime Ivy.
The radio station which airs on 106.1, Plays the world’s greatest jazz, blues and soul, from the world’s greatest artists with an African flavor, Jazz FM is clearly the home of jazz, blues and soul in Uganda
