John Weir Is New Vodafone Uganda Head Of Business Solutions

Vodafone Uganda recently appointed a new Head of Business Solutions – John Weir. According to sources, the appointment takes immediate effect. And will be charged with creating Customer awareness, customer retention, driving sales performance among others

Who Is John Weir?

John Weir joins Vodafone Uganda with over thirty years telecom experience both as a CEO and Project Manager in various telecom companies in Europe, the Caribbean and Africa. With extensive knowledge of the fixed, mobile and convergent technologies, John Weir will be instrumental in driving the Vodafone Uganda Business Solutions agenda which is primarily to support businesses in bringing down their operational costs through cutting edge solutions that will enable everything & everyone to be seamlessly connected everywhere.

According to his Linked profile John is very experienced in the field of telecommunications and sales having worked in UK for over 10 years;

“I have worked in retail for over ten years. I’m learning everyday in this role I currently have. I develop staff and achieving daily to monthly figures by using daily briefs and by motivating staff. My main goal is to try and develop myself in a new role in this industry of technology by offering coaching and training on new products.

Vodafone is the second largest mobile operator in the world operating in more than 30 countries and partnering with networks in over 50 more. In November 2014, Vodafone Group entered into a non-equity Partner Market agreement with Afrimax Group to launch Vodafone Uganda, serving mobile customers in the Ugandan market with high quality voice and data communications.
